List of road accidents records serious road accidents that caused a high death toll, occurred in unusual circumstances, or hold some other historical significance. For crashes that killed died, refer to List of people who died in road accidents. The prevalence of bus accidents in this list is a function of severity rather than of frequency.

2010
- February 16 A bus crashed and went down an embankment near the town of Massa, Italy. The accident killed three French people and 20 more were injured.[2]
- March 18. A crowded bus veered off a mountain road and plunged into a river just west of the capital, Kathmandu, killing 24.[5]
- March 27. A crash between a van and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 65 south of Munfordville, Kentucky, kills 11.[6]
- March 31. A coach crashed into a river after falling from a bridge in a snow storm in Lanark killing a 17 year old girl and injuring 44 passengers.[7]
- April 12. A multiple-vehicle crash on a rain-slicked freeway north of Los Angeles kills 5.[8]
- April 16. A bus fell into a river in Haramosh Peak the accident killed 12 and injured 7 more.[9]
- May 23. A truck travelling in the wrong direction on an expressway collided head-on with a bus in the country's northeast. The collision occurred on a section of the expressway that was undergoing maintenance in the city of Fuzin in Liaoning province. 32 people were killed and another 21 people were injured and sent to hospital.[10]
- July 2. A fuel tanker overturned and exploded, unleashing a fireball that devastated the town of Sange, in South Kivu province. The preliminary death toll placed the number of dead at 220, while another 111 were injured.[11]

- July 18. 14 people were killed and 12 injured after a bus fell off a cliff in northern Albania, near the city of Durres. [2]
- August 18. A fully packed bus plunged off a mountain highway into a 100-foot ravine killing 41 people.[12]
- 26 September. A Polish tourist bus returning from Spain careered into a bridge on a rain-soaked German motorway, killing 13 people.[13]
- October 19. Eighteen people killed when a passenger bus collided with a truck, burst into flames, and flipped over in central Mexico.[17]
- October 25. Twenty-one people were killed when a bus collided with a fuel truck in northern Uganda.[18]
2011
- 2011 World Wide Tours bus crash: On March 12th, a bus crashed on Interstate 95 in the Bronx, New York. Fifteen people were killed.[19]
- April 8th: Due to very low visibility in a dust/sand storm, 80 cars piled up in a mass crash on German Autobahn A19, 30 of these caught fire. Eight people died, 131 were injured.[20]
- September 15th 2011: Rodovia dos Imigrantes at São Paulo, Brazil. 300 vehicles were involved in an accident due to heavy fog, causing several injuries and killing one person.[21]
- October 10th, 2011: At Scarborough, Ontario, street racing was suspected in a deadly car crash that split a Honda Accord into two, killing the 25 year old driver and injuring a passenger who was ejected from the vehicle. [22]
- October 12th, 2011: Due to fog and smoke low visibility conditions, a huge collision involving 23 trucks, 11 buses and 17 cars occurs in Ruta 68 near Casablanca, Chile, 67 km west to Santiago, in Valparaíso Region. At least 73 injuries and five people dead. [23]
- 2011 M5 motorway crash: November 4, around 8.30pm: 34-vehicle crash near Taunton on the M5 motorway. 7 dead and 51 injured.[24][25]
- November 26 in Togo: The team bus of the Étoile Filante football team crashed. 6 dead and 25 injured. [26]
- December 3, a truck collided with a bus in the Mato Grosso state. The crash killed 33 people.[27]
